GENESIS 6 IN FOCUS
‘Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God’
THINK ABOUT IT:
What percentage can you give to yourself in terms of purity?
If God for a moment wants to select 100 people in your environment for a purpose, what will be your position?
what sin entangles you most?
How far are you from what is not just?
A farmer prefers the best product for market and as such, takes his time to differentiate the good fruits from the bad fruits.
The army commander prefers selecting the brave and most intelligent soldiers for battles that matter
A football coach makes the best selection for crucial matches
A great task calls for a great man. A person with a proven record of valor, purity to purpose and a solid tenacity for accomplishment.
It was going to be an arduous task to build an Ark that would accommodate both man and animals of all kind concurrently and harbor them for the entire duration of the flooding.
A man of nobility was needed for the great task. A man in whose account must tenacity, obedience, purity and pursuance of purposefulness be found and upon the surface of the earth, Noah, was the choosing one.
How well do we obey God’s instruction?
Pursuing holiness and obeying the will of God may seem a great hurdle in the face of a corruptible atmosphere and an adulterous generation but this the moment to prove the name ( Christians) right or wrong.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
PONDER: How do I become the Noah of my days?
A charge to keep I have,
A God to glorify,
A never-dying soul to save,
And fit it for the sky.
To serve the present age,
My calling to fulfill:
O may it all my powers engage
To do my Master’s will!
Arm me with jealous care,
As in Thy sight to live;
And O Thy servant, Lord, prepare
A strict account to give!
Help me to watch and pray,
And on Thyself rely,
Assured, if I my trust betray,
I shall for ever die.
