Secrets…. Where are the righteous men of God?

Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24 What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it?

who are you among the masses?

Who is your friend?

Who tells you his/her secret?

How do you keep secrets?

How trustworthy are you to attract secrets?

Abraham had obtained the favor of God. God had chosen Abraham to be a great nation. Though the promise was pending, he was still living in hope for it. His faith was in God knowing that He who had promised would never fail.

His (Abraham’s ) good heart and service did not only attract a great man to him, but also the secret of the Great man. ‘Then the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? 18 Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth would be blessed through him” . What do you do to attract the secret of others and how trustworthy are you?

Though Abraham and Lot had parted company, he still did had Lot in mind. Abraham pleaded for mercy for Lot and his town. Regardless of how people offend us, how do we intercede for them in prayer from afar?

With humility, Abraham pleaded strongly for others. How do you uplift fellow Christ followers’ when they fall or slumber? Paul wrote to the Thessalonians ”Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

PONDER: ‘’then he said, ‘’May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?’’

Rescue the perishing,
Care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o’er the erring one,
Lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus the mighty to save.

Rescue the perishing,
Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful,
Jesus will save.

Though they are slighting Him,
Still He is waiting,
Waiting the penitent child to receive;
Plead with them earnestly,
Plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe.

Down in the human heart,
Crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart,
Wakened by kindness,
Chords that are broken will vibrate once more

Rescue the perishing,
Duty demands it;
Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide;
Back to the narrow way,
Patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand’rer a Savior has died.
