The favor of God

prayer 2

GENESIS   23    IN    FOCUS

The unmerited favor of God found Abraham. He had been blessed after he had endured the trials of life. Though Abraham perceived himself as a stranger in a strange land, he was accepted as a royal by strangers.

The Hittites replied to Abraham, “Sir, listen to us. You are a mighty prince among us

Joseph never had a relative in the land he became a royal. The favor of God is mighty enough to make us unique among all men even far away from our home.

Abraham had a choice to choose the best tomb for his wife. He continued to obtain favor in the sight of the Hittites.

We live in a generation where we need the favor of God in all our endeavor. God’s divine favor can make us rich without any sorrow. God’s divine favor can grant us the best marriage life. We all do yearn to have an absolute peace each day we wake up and it is the divine favor of God that can grant us the peace we want. It is God’s divine favor that can make our works flourish. seek for it!

Jesus said “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you

Abraham endured, trusted and obeyed God and he got all he wanted. It is your turn, what are you doing?

What fear is ruling your life? what is hindering you from obeying God’s will? Why are you afraid? What is challenging you? Who are you?

PONDER: What makes you get double minded in trusting and obeying God

HYMN

When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey

Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
