GENESIS 36 in focus
Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.
THINK ABOUT IT:
What are you enduring now?
How do you think God can bless you?
What are your expectations from God?
Are you ready for great possessions?
God is capable of blessing us. God is capable showering His riches on us. God can do exceedingly and abundantly what ever our heart desires are but, we must remember never to forget Him when we have the comfort we seek for. We must remember not to neglect Him when it is well with us. David said ‘ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.’
The Lord is faithful to His promises. The apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 1:20, ‘For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.’
The blessings of God is not just for one generation. He blessed Abraham, Isaac and it was the turn of Jacob and Esau. They trusted and obeyed God for His goodness and mercies and they surely had them in excess.
What are our heart desires today? Though trials shall come our way, we must remember what is written in 1 Peter 5: 10 ‘And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.’
Seek for God. Seek for His kingdom. Seek for his blessings and you will find it. The apostle Paul was confident in his speech because he knew the God he was serving. Paul wrote, ‘But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.’
Just imagine having a Father who is the richest man in the entire universe and the possessor of the creation. Must you be in need? Jesus Christ said,
‘Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.‘
Life can be difficult but, if we obediently know and understand the God we serve, He shall surely bless us.
Abraham and his descendants had great possessions for they trusted and obeyed God. Can God do it for us today?
