be good!

prayer 2

prayer 2

GENESIS     41       IN      FOCUS

‘When two full years had passed, Pharaoh had a dream…’

think about it:

  • what Has God entrusted in your hands?
  • How do you handle situations you meet?
  • Are you suffering today?
  • How are you preparing for greatness?

There is a purpose for whatever we meet in life. Joseph who was once a man in charge of Potiphar‘s affairs found himself in the prisons. Time changes! Regardless of where Joseph found himself and what led him there, he never lived his life with bitterness and he never treated his inmates with indifference just because he had been through bad situations! Joseph stayed good!

Bitter situations have the capability of making us bitter and changing our attitude into a bitter one but, we must understand the real reasons for the situations we meet and how to shape our lives positively with the situations we meet!

The world shall surely not present us with an everlasting joy and good moments. We shall surely meet bad and bitter situations but, that should not leave a bitter attitude footprint  on our minds. We must be good regardless!

Joseph helped others even in the prison. There is an appointed time for everything we only have to endure for the right moment. We must show the fruit of the spirit that dwells in us.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.’ —Galatians 5

”And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

Yes! there is a restoration time for anyone who suffers for goodness sake. There is a glory for anyone with a good heart. There is a crown of victory for anyone who walks in the path of righteousness! God is not dead!

There was no need for inquiry into why Joseph went into prison. There was no need to find whether it was true that Joseph wanted to sleep with Potiphar’s wife. Joseph was to be restored. Yes! but this time not as a servant to  the captain of the guards but,  as a man in authority! Just be good and you shall surely see goodness!

14 So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came before Pharaoh.  15 Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

Joseph knew the God he was serving. He knew his strength could not do anything without God.

PROVERBS   3  SAYS:

‘So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight’

“I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”

A good steward remains good regardless of bad occurrences! Jesus is coming again so be good!

REMEMBER

be good!  Yes, be good!

PONDER:

When the situation becomes bitter, think of being better!

NOTE:

Jesus Christ is coming again!

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done”
