You may never know!

prayer 2

    GENESIS  43    IN      FOCUS

26 When Joseph came home, they presented to him the gifts they had brought into the house, and they bowed down before him to the ground. 27 He asked them how they were

THINK  ABOUT     IT

Who has offended you so greatly?

Why will you never forgive?

What do you want on earth?

What is life about?

Time changes! Yes, time changes!  Now the men were frightened when they were taken to his house. They thought, “We were brought here because of the silver that was put back into our sacks the first time. He wants to attack us and overpower us and seize us as slaves and take our donkeys.”      Joseph, the youngest of all is now the master of all. Time changes! The weak nation can become the strong nation tomorrow and the strong nation can become a weak nation. The subordinate can become the manager and the manager can become the subordinate! You may never know the destiny of the person you just met.

We can all think of tomorrow but we cannot tell the exact certainties and uncertainties in tomorrow to a greater extent! Time changes! You may never know. Today you may have joy but, sorrow can come tomorrow. You may be in pain today but, tomorrow you may smile. That is life. No condition is permanent. Joseph’s brothers were having the super power over him and so they used such powers to sell him but time changes. They that were pondering  over what to do to their brother were now wondering what would be done to them. Time changes! ‘They said to one another, “Surely we are being punished because of our brother. We saw how distressed he was when he pleaded with us for his life, but we would not listen; that’s why this distress has come on us.”     Genesis 42: 21

You may never know what situation of life that would push you to do what you do not want to do. The real uncertainty of tomorrow is uncertain.  Mind your steps today! Until you meet the vicissitudes of life, you may never know.  Jacob worried about what was happening but least did he know that it was also for good. ‘Their father Jacob said to them, “You have deprived me of my children. Joseph is no more and Simeon is no more, and now you want to take Benjamin. Everything is against me!”

Sometimes in life, we do worry ourselves so much with what is happening to us instead of taking comfort in Christ Jesus who said ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.‘                       John 14:27
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren

Joseph had a feast with his brothers notwithstanding what they did to him. Joseph knew that what his brothers did to him was also for good.

You ought to learn how to forgive your offenders for you may never know tomorrow!!!

PONDER!

Did you know that when you hold on to bitterness and unforgiveness you harm yourself?

Did you know that when you let the offenses of people occupy your mind, your mind becomes a mind for the offenses of people instead of your own mind?

NOTE

Matthew 6:9-13New International Version (NIV)

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one

REMEMBER!

learn to forgive. Yes, learn to forgive!

They might have caused you a great sorrow but, learn to forgive!

They might have tarnished your reputation but, learn to forgive!

Vengeance belongs to God, so learn to forgive!

Your strength can work to a certain limit, so learn to forgive!

If you keep it in you, you harm your own self, so learn to forgive!

What happens when you continue to keep it? learn to forgive!

What would happen if you forgive? just learn to forgive?

It  will not cost you silver or gold to forgive, so learn to forgive!

Life is more than silver and gold, so learn to forgive!

Life is too short to occupy  your mind with offenses, learn to forgive!

You may never know, so learn to forgive!

Learn to forgive! Yes, Learn to forgive!
