We are on earth for a purpose. There is a reason why we were born.If we fail to know why we were born, we shall live for why we were not born to live for. God said to Jeremiah, ‘‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” God knew Moses. God knew the great task Moses would accomplish. When men plotted to thwart the commission of Moses, God protected him.
16 And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. 17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. Genesis 1: 16,17
When your star arises, your cloud of opposition shall arise. When Jesus Christ was born, He faced similar situation ‘16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi’
The favor of God is forever. God shall always protect the seed He gives us from destruction but, we must also take steps to plant the seed and see to its proper growth and fruit bearing. The mother of Moses could have acted wrongly but, she took diligent steps to ensure the survival and safety of Moses.
‘3 When she could hide him no longer, she took for him a basket made of bulrushes[a] and daubed it with bitumen and pitch. She put the child in it and placed it among the reeds by the river bank. 4 And his sister stood at a distance to know what would be done to him. 5 Now the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river, while her young women walked beside the river. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her servant woman, and she took it. 6 When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby was crying. She took pity on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.” 7 Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and call you a nurse from the Hebrew women to nurse the child for you?” 8 And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her,
Wisdom! Wisdom! Wisdom! Wisdom is what will assist us to accomplish our mission on earth. We were not born to live and leave but, we were born to live and leave distinctive footprints.
Who has not committed a sin before? Who has not committed a mistake before? Sin produces fear. Fear brings a gap. ‘the wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion ‘ Moses had to flee out of fear because he committed murder.
11 One day, when Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and looked on their burdens, and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his people.[c] 12 He looked this way and that, and seeing no one, hestruck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13 When he went out the next day, behold, two Hebrews were struggling together. And he said to the man in the wrong, “Why do you strike your companion?”14 He answered, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, and thought, “Surely the thing is known.” 15 When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and stayed in the land of Midian. And he sat down by a well.
Why are you here on earth?
