Excuses!

prayer 2

EXODUS      4     IN    FOCUS

10 Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

If only you can kill fear and excuses, you can do great and wondrous things! If only you can understand the signs of the time, you will use the time profitably.  If only you believe in God, you must do His will. Jesus Christ said   21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’     Matthew  7.                                 Are you for Jesus?

What excuse is excusing you from the Kingdom of God? Moses was to do something great but he feared where he was to go and do such great thing. He was to go back to his roots! He had however committed murder  there but God needed him for a liberation work!

God knew why He chose Moses  ”13 But Moses said, “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.”  See how painful it is to trust and love someone deeply  and the person sees your true love as a fantasy.   ”14 Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you. 15 You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do. 16 He will speak to the people for you, and it will be as if he were your mouth and as if you were God to him. 17 But take this staff in your hand so you can perform the signs with it.”

God needs more of   our true selves and less of our ability for His duty. His ability is strong enough to make our inability our ability to do great and wondrous works! Have you seen the need to go out and speak the true gospel of Christ Jesus to someone there? What is stopping you from doing the will of God? Job lost everything but he stood for God! The disciples of Jesus left what they were doing for the sake of the Kingdom of God. ‘Going on from there He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and He called them. Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.’ Matthew 4

Could it be the love for your flesh, what people will say, the fear of loosing your wealth and dignity, the sins you have committed before, your desires and aspirations, the cloths you don’t have, or  the uncertainties and challenges you think you shall meet that are keeping you from liberating the perishing and awakening the slumbering? There are so many people who spend great energy promoting their own businesses with all necessary tactics, plans and unending tenacity so as to see a flourishing business. There are so many people who would do anything possible to ensure victory for political parties they belong to. It is not all that all to be a Christian but, to be a Christian who works as a Christian. It is not all that all to believe in God but to do the will of God!

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28

So many people departed from their homes and traveled all around the world so that others will hear the word of God. They are gone; It is our turn ! harvest full, but laborers few! Hear the Master calling! Jonah was sent ‘But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.’     Shall it be written that    ‘but you loved to do your own business?’    Shall it be written that  ‘but you neglected doing the will of God?’     A time is coming for accountability!

‘But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.’

IT IS TIME TO SURRENDER ALL

HYMN

All to Jesus I surrender

BY: Judson W. Van de Venter ( 1855 – 1939)

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,
I surrender all.
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.
