EXODUS 5 IN FOCUS
‘6 That same day Pharaoh gave this order to the slave drivers and overseers in charge of the people: 7 “You are no longer to supply the people with straw for making bricks; let them go and gather their own straw.’
How can we make something out of nothing? How can we pour water out of an empty Jar? Within the midst of the impossible situation, God provides the possible solutions! When a good news is announced, bad mindset awakes! People who perceives the good news as a threat to their corruptible integrity and comfort shall always arise vehemently against any good step . People are slandering and killing their fellow workers because of a probable good future. People are conspiring day and night to tarnish the reputation of their fellow mankind just because of material gain! We live in a world of paradox!
When the good news for mankind was announced, a great opposition arose from Herold. He deployed all necessary means to thwart the future of the new King. 6 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi
Pharaoh subjected the Israelite to hard labor and deep pain just because a good news had come for them. Moses and Aaron announced the redemption time for the people of God to Pharaoh 4 But the king of Egypt said, “Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their labor? Get back to your work!” 5 Then Pharaoh said, “Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working.”
We feel the strong wind before the rains fall! There is a dormancy period for plants before they germinate! If God keeps mute, it doesn’t mean He is dumb. He has a redemption time for His people.
Let the storms of life increase in its turbulence just because your victory is ahead. Let Men arise against you in all manner of ways, enact evil and subject you into indentured servitude just because they see a smile ahead for you “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” . He said ‘ call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
Why must you fear when you can pray? Why must you be troubled when you can ask in faith and receive in glory?
22 Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Why, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Is this why you sent me? 23 Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and you have not rescued your people at all.”
When the storms of life increase, lift up your voice in humility and open your heart in faith to the Lord God Almighty. He is faithful to deliver! Remember it is written, Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Count your blessings and rejoice for God keeps watching over they that cry to Him. His eyes are upon they that hates sinning and His grace and favor is everlasting for they that love Him.
What can God do for you?

Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
When the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,
Will your anchor drift or firm remain?
We have an anchor that keeps the soul
Stedfast and sure while the billows roll,
Fastened to the Rock which cannot move,
Grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love
It is safely moored, ’twill the storm withstand,
For ’tis well secured by the Savior’s hand;
And the cables passed from His heart to mine,
Can defy the blast, through strength divine.
It will firmly hold in the straits of fear,
When the breakers have told the reef is near;
Though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow,
Not an angry wave shall our bark o’erflow.
It will surely hold in the floods of death,
When the waters cold chill our latest breath;
On the rising tide it can never fail,
While our hopes abide within the veil.
