EXODUS 13 IN FOCUS
17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter.
Do you know what really is in tomorrow?
just think about it
Oh how deceptive the heart can be! Oh how untruthful the heart can be! We make good choices only to realize a better choice. We make better choices only to see the best choice. We take the good path only to see the ultimate path. Oh how deceptive the heart can be!
What is life? From dawn to dusk we live life. We take steps into the future. We think of the future. We think of leaving one life situation to another, probably a better one. We take steps with the conviction that all will be well. The real certainties and and uncertainties in life are however not all that certain to mankind. ”There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
God knew exactly where He wanted His people to head towards. He knew the right path that could lead them there safely. God knew the heart of His people ‘‘For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” 18 So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.”
Life is not static. Life goes on. We have never remain the same as we were in childhood. We plan and think of acting our plans with the hope of getting a great results in the end. Life sometimes shows us a different picture of our plans. We meet things we least expect as we take our steps in the journey of life. We see what seems so good and pleasant to our eyes and we pursue to take and overtake it.
Someone yearns to buy a car only for the car to lead him to death through accident. Someone dreams of a great and a comfortable life only to be stormed by sickness and discomfort in the comfortable life. Someone eagerly wishes for a good job only to meet a bad boss, confusion, perplexity and unforeseen job hazards. Someone cries for children only to have children with regrets. Life is a paradox and the only antidote to the paradox of life is to seek for direction from the Creator of life.
God knows how to protect His own. God knows how to shield His own. God knows how to lead His own. God knows how to provide for His own. He shall be there for His people during the day and He will not slumber but He shall keep watch over His people in the night
20 After leaving Sukkoth they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert. 21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.
He is the same yesterday, today and He shall be the same tomorrow. He is the Lord I AM. What is disturbing your mind? What steps are you taking? What step do you want to take? What are your plans in life?
Make God your leader! Yes, make God your leader! In this journey of life, make God your leader and He will lead you to a successful end regardless of the storms and notwithstanding how arduous the errand of life may be.
you may never know tomorrow! you may never know how really that path will end!
When we envision a great thing; when you see a nice path of life; when you desire for something great, ponder and surrender everything to God for direction and guidance

Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,
[or Guide me, O Thou great Redeemer…]
Pilgrim through this barren land.
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy powerful hand.
Bread of Heaven, Bread of Heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.
Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.
Lord, I trust Thy mighty power,
Wondrous are Thy works of old;
Thou deliver’st Thine from thralldom,
Who for naught themselves had sold:
Thou didst conquer, Thou didst conquer,
Sin, and Satan and the grave,
Sin, and Satan and the grave.
When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of deaths, and hell’s destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.
