Something from nothing

prayer 2

EXODUS  17     IN     FOCUS

‘Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.’

Have you experience a real situation where you needed something to put your body, mind and soul at peace but you least found what you desired  before?  Have you ever be in real need before? Is God still capable of performing miracles?

Least did mankind thought of electricity as it is today. The whole idea was something out of nothing for there was no great and real  precedent for the inventor. It was a fantasy for man to fly in the air but today, thousands of people around the globe fly in the air each day. Are you see nothing in your life today? think about something!

The Lord answered Moses, “Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.

The source of almost all rivers can be traced to rocks but it would be  hard to accept that water can come out of rocks at a twinkle of the eye! God is a God who is capable of bringing out something great in hard times. The Israelites knew how to grumble but God knew how to provide. The Israelites were seeing problems but God was seeing solutions. What is your problem?

But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”

 1 Peter 5: 10   says,  ‘And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.’

Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.” Is there any thing too hard for the Lord?

God  said, ”and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me. …Psalm 50

God knows everything! God sees everything! Call unto Him in faith and believe that whatever you need, He will supply! He is the Creator of all things we see and no one has ever challenged Him of being the creator. He is the richest man and so Apostle Paul was convinced of whom He had believed and he  said  19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.. Philippians 4.    Amazing to note! All but not some. He is capable, just have faith and let His will be done! He can give you more than anything the world can offer!

 When you meet the rocks, strike the rocks ! Cry unto the Lord and He will make water come out of the rocks. He will make something out of nothing! He can do it! Call unto Him in faith and believe Him for an answer!

1 Abide with me: fast falls the eventide;
the darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

2 Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day;
earth’s joys grow dim, its glories pass away.
Change and decay in all around I see.
O Lord who changes not, abide with me.

3 I need your presence every passing hour.
What but your grace can foil the tempter’s power?
Who like yourself my guide and strength can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me.

I fear no foe with you at hand to bless,
though ills have weight, and tears their bitterness.
Where is death’s sting? Where, grave, your victory?
I triumph still, if you abide with me.

5 Hold now your Word before my closing eyes.
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies.
Heaven’s morning breaks and earth’s vain shadows flee;
in life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.

Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me.
