The Radiant Face of Moses

 EXODUS    34    IN     FOCUS

… he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord. 30 When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him.

We serve a living God! We serve the All powerful God! His name is the Lord our banner! His name is the  Lord our dignity! When you meet Him for a moment, you are changed forever!

”And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. And they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God saying, “Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”

You can’t spray a perfume on you and walk without the scent of the perfume on you! When you meet God, you meet a change! When you meet God, you meet glory! When you meet God, you meet power! Moses met God and went back a changed person! They that saw him going ordinary, saw him coming extra ordinary, and they could not look at him! You need to meet God! You need to meet the presence of the Sovereign Lord God Almighty!

Many people met Jesus Christ in person; something so many people were and are yearning for, but not all had a change! Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me. When the young man heard this, he went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.” . Someone however met Him and had a change,  But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

The same opportunities people miss; the same  opportunities people use! Moses remained humble before God and God made Moses a different person!

30 When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him. 31 But Moses called to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and he spoke to them. 32 Afterward all the Israelites came near him, and he gave them all the commands the Lord had given him on Mount Sinai. 33 When Moses finished speaking to them, he put a veil over his face.

Moses knew how to protect the glory God shone upon him! When Moses finished speaking to them, he put a veil over his face! We must know how to protect the glory of God upon our lives. We must understand what to show publicly and what to keep out of public view!

Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus. As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

When you meet God, your personality changes, but know how to carry yourself! Jesus Christ said, “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” Moses hid his face from the people, and Jesus did not allow His disciples to proclaim the glory they saw to the masses though it could have endorsed His credibility! ‘ As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead’

We must be diligent in our walk with God and we must know how to move with the glory of God in our daily lives! We must know what to show to men and we must understand what to keep away from the eyes of men! We must know what to say to men, probably because we may want to prove ourselves right to men, and we must get understanding of what to keep away from the ears of men! The walk with God demands wisdom! The walk with God demands diligence! Do your possible best to stay for God and when you meet Him, your face will change!!!
