For today the Lord will appear to you.

EXODUS        9

The hymn writer wrote, ‘When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.’

‘So Aaron and his sons did everything the Lord commanded through Moses.’ A man came to pay for our debts. His name is Jesus Christ. He payed for the debt of sinners. His mission was clear. He said, ‘For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.’ The kingdom of God is at hand and it is for  they that fear God. The Kingdom is for sinners who departs from sinning. The Kingdom is for people who trust and obey God!

’30 Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood from the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments and his sons and their garments.’ A blood was shed for us! A blood was shed for the atonement of our sins: the blood of Jesus Christ!   Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. It is! No one keep his white and precious  garment  meant for a noble banquet in a dirty bag, except for a reason! God wants to appear to us but we must depart from things that would block His glory upon our lives!

It is written,  ‘Therefore, “Come out from the  and be separate says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing,  and I will receive you.” 18 And, “I will be a Father to you,  and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” We must be holy to see the holiness of God! We must separate ourselves from known and unknown sins to see the glory of God. The Scribes and Pharisees were obeying the laws, but we must please God!  Jesus Christ said, ‘For I say unto you that unless your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.’

They did what the Lord said and they saw the glory of God  ‘23 Moses and Aaron then went into the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people; and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people.’  Another glory is coming! Jesus Christ is coming!

and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:30

Words: John R. Macduff, 1853

Christ is coming! let creation
From her groans and travail cease,
Let the glorious proclamation
Hope restore, and faith increase.
Christ is coming! Christ is coming!
Come, Thou blessed Prince of Peace.

Earth can now but tell the story
Of Thy bitter cross and pain;
She shall yet behold Thy glory
When Thou comest back to reign.
Christ is coming! Christ is coming!
Let each heart repeat the strain.

Long Thy people have been pining
For Thy peace and rest, and Thee,
Soon, in heav’nly glory shining,
Their Restorer shall they see.
Christ is coming! Christ is coming!
Haste the joyous jubilee.
