know HIS true will; do HIS true will

After the king was settled in his palace and the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies around him, he said to Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”

Nathan replied to the king, “Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it, for the Lord is with you.”

But that night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying:

5“Go and tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in?

(JOURNEYING FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION; 2 SAMUEL  7)

Are all that we are doing pleasant to God? 2  Do we truly have the real fear of God in our days? Are we truly doing His true will? How would we feel on that day when God disputes, or fails to accept all our thoughts, plans, actions and inactions? When we fail to know His true will, we shall do anything to think that is His true will! When we think because God is with us we can do something, 12  we may end up doing anything which least please Him ! The hymn writer, John H. Sammis (1887) tells us to ‘trust and obey’! And  Jesus Christ warns us, as it was in their days; “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ 45

Yes, the prophet had confirmed Davids plans, but the confirmation was out of the plans of God! Be careful! Be careful! Be careful! Seek true confirmation from God, for deception exists 21! 25.  The mere fact that God is with you never means you can do anything 5  13! The mere fact that a prophet confirms it never means you can do anything; Know HIS true will; do HIS true will 12 ! Seek the right confirmation from the Sovereign Lord God Almighty! 7“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Do not use your will, but His will; trust and obey! 42 6

1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey. [Refrain]

3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]

4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain

David wanted to please God with a temple, but does God only resides in houses made by the hands of men? We may think God is always pleased with wonderful buildings 1 , but let us never forget His true will! His true will is His true will! Buildings represent the meeting place of the saints of God 19 25 23 , “However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says:

49“ ‘Heaven is my throne,

and the earth is my footstool.

What kind of house will you build for me?

says the Lord.

Or where will my resting place be?

50Has not my hand made all these things?’ l

51“You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit! 52Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him— 50

Is God far from knowing our thoughts and plans? 20  Nathan was with David, and God was there! Nathan spoke, but God had the final say! Is there anything we can hide from HIM? Solomon says, 3The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. 24 . Be close to God; do His will, then He will let all things work together for the good! Be close to God, so He can show mercy even when there are wrongs 15 1!

It is such a privilege to hear from the Sovereign Lord God Almighty, and David did not take it for granted 19!!! Have a true heart for God; let Him live in your heart! Revere God, and have a true fear of Him; obey Him and totally seek to do His true will, all the time, and every time, in truth and in Spirit, no matter what, and though fallible as we are! Know His true will; do His true will! Many want acceptance 18, but seek the acceptance and confirmation of God Almighty first! Know His true will; do His true will! Are we doing it for ourselves, or for Him? Know HIS true will; do HIS true will!

Do what God wants you to do, not what you want to do for God, for it is what God chooses that stands 18! David had his plans for God, but God had a different promise and plans for David! We must know how to lay  that solid foundation for another generation to come and build upon it!

God promised Abraham, and it came to pass, regardless of the nature of the  ‘walk’! God promised Isaac, and it came to pass, notwithstanding the drought and the hurdles 1 ! God was with Joshua, and Joshua became a conqueror 37 ! They that had the promises of God, truly trusted and obeyed God! Trust and obey,  20For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”  Are we truly truly truly submitting to God and obeying Him? Are we living the will of God or our will? We ought to know His true will, and do His true will
